This creative project aimed to explore the application of Article 17(2) of the Dublin Regulation and produce both a detailed research report and an informative flyer.

The first objective was to develop an in-depth research report (available here). The project methodology followed a snowball approach to desk research, incorporating both primary and secondary sources, including legal notes, academic articles, and research publications related to the Dublin Regulation. This approach ensured a comprehensive exploration of available materials while also highlighting the need for more substantial data in this area.

The second component of the project was a flyer designed as a visual guide for unaccompanied minors arriving at shelters, explaining the Dublin procedure and the family reunification process. To enhance accessibility, the flyer is available in English and Arabic.

This project was carried out in 2023-2024 by Irene Pérez-Sala Alonso, an ESC volunteer at “Home For Hope” in Larnaca.
